Gymnastics 1
Monday 6:00 – 7:00
Tuesday 4:30 – 5:30
Wednesday 4:30 – 5:30
Wednesday 5:30 – 6:30
Gymnastics 1 is the perfect class for athletes who are ready to build a strong foundation in gymnastics! This beginner-level class focuses on proper body shapes, basic techniques, and developing confidence in a fun, encouraging environment.
What we’ll work on:
Floor
- Body shapes and fundamentals
- Handstands
- Cartwheels
- Forward rolls
Beam
- Safe mounts
- Walking in relevé
- Ice cream scoops
- Front and side walking kicks
- Bunny hops
- Long jumps
- Passé
- T-shape balance
Vault
- Straight jumps with proper technique
Bars
- Chin hold (5 seconds)
- Front support
- Casts
- Leg lifts
Throughout the session, athletes will improve strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and confidence while learning correct technique and progressing at their own pace. Our goal is to build a solid foundation that prepares each gymnast for future skills and advancement to the next level.
Gymnastics 2
Monday 4:00 – 5:00
Thursday 4:30 – 5:30
Gymnastics 2 is designed for athletes who have mastered the fundamentals and are ready to build stronger technique, confidence, and more advanced skills. This class focuses on proper form, strength, flexibility, and skill progression on all four events.
Prerequisites:
Bars
- Hold chin above the bar for 5 seconds
- Front support
- Cast
Floor
- Proper technique on:
- Cartwheel
- Handstand
- Forward roll
- Hold all basic gymnastics shapes for 20 seconds with good form
Beam
- Comfortably walk the length of the beam with straight legs
- Walk in relevé
- Mount the beam independently
- Show confidence while balancing on the beam
Athletes who meet these requirements are ready to continue developing stronger gymnastics fundamentals while working toward more challenging skills in a safe and positive environment.
Intermediate Gymnastics- In this class we will focus on skills that use the bars, beam, vault, and floor. This class is a step up from beginner gymnastics. Athletes should have a good cartwheel and be able to do basic bar skills to move up to this class. If you feel your athlete is ready for this class, we can set up an evaluation to help determine which class would be best.
Gymnastics 3
Monday 5:00 – 6:00 |
Gymnastics 3 class is designed for athletes who have mastered the fundamentals and are ready to build strength, confidence, and more advanced technique. This class focuses on refining skills while preparing gymnasts for higher-level progressions.
Athletes should be able to:
Hold all gymnastics body shapes with proper form for 30 seconds
Floor
- Cartwheel
- Forward roll
- Handstand
- Strong backbend
- Roundoff
Bars
- Chin hold for 10 seconds
- Front support
- Cast
- Pullover
- Assisted back hip circle
Beam
- Walk in relevé with confidence
- Front and side kicks
- Mount
- Assisted dismount
Vault
- Handstand flat back
Throughout this class, athletes will continue developing strength, flexibility, coordination, and proper technique while building the skills needed for more advanced gymnastics. Safety, strong fundamentals, and clean execution remain our top priorities as gymnasts progress toward the next level.
